Well, back again in Honduras.  No problems on the airplane, but as always, an interesting landing.  We some sandwiches and bottled water at the airport, changed some dollars into limpura and headed out to the bus.  Immigration meant long lines for non-Hondurans, but customs was a breeze.  They didn’t even look at our documents.  We limped through traffic in town until we got out of the city center and on the road to Jutecalpa.  This year much was paved — quite a bit with concrete.  They use big squares of concrete and lay them like brick — squares maybe 8 feet wide and long.  A rough ride, but better than dirt roads.  We were still covered with dust when we arrived at the hotel at around 6:00.  We headed for the bar first, then dinner at 7:00 – chicken, rice and cooked veggies.  Met some very interesting people tonight at dinner and I will share those stories tomorrow.  I’ve taken a shower and am headed to bed.  Sharing a room with Cindy, who says she snores. 🙂  We’ll see how I do with that.

About lynntclarke

I am an attorney by trade, but love to travel. I am in my "golden" years and decided to blog about some of my trips, mainly to keep a diary of my experiences, so that I can do picture books for my travels and remember what I did each day. When you travel, you tend to forget the day before as you are having such wonderful new experiences. The blog will be there forever, I suppose, but memories fade fast. I hope you learn something worthwhile as you read. If not, then that is okay, too. Enjoy your own travels!!!
